Then I came out after about 5-10 minutes and tried to open the tailgate and it did not work. It unlatches, but does not raise at all. I have to manually push it, which takes quite a bit of effort. I also had to manually close it because the buttons were not working (though it did latch once I had pushed it closed).
Pulled into gas station, turned off car and made sure it was unlocked. The fuel door WOULD NOT OPEN. Tried everything we could find on the internet (Using the keyfob to lock and then unlock the car, restarting the car, turning it off and then locking and unlocking, etc). No luck.
March 2008. Yes - my Veracruz Limited tailgate has opened several times but it is always associated with the key fob being in my pocket and apparently accidentally depressing the tailgate button.
